Some pictures from our trip… We left on the 31st of July with 4728 miles on the clock.
First day: to Luxembourg visiting friends through the Channel Tunnel
then route N40 in Belgium through Beaumont
On the second day we crossed the Vosges and then into Switzerland, via Basel and Zurich to Chur. A short trip on the third day: reaching Italy from Splugen
At this point Anastasia took a train to Termoli and I continued alone, reaching the Marche region on the fourth day
to meet friends and walk around this fantastic village:
On the fifth day I stopped in Termoli with the family and we watched the fireworks
Further south on the sixth day, to Bari crossing overnight to Dubrovnik
Day 7: crossing Bosnia from Dubrovnik to Gacko
Through Sutjeska National Park to Sarajevo:
I spent a bit of time in the old town of Sarajevo, stopping at the National Library
and for a short walk in the town centre
I still remember the winter Olympics of 1984, and some symbols are still there:
A lot of signs of the war are still there between Derventa and Brod
Day 8: from Croatia to Italy crossing Slovenia first
Sleeping in Forni di Sopra. On the following day I crossed the Alps from East to West:
From Passo Fedaia it is possible to see the Marmolada glacier:
More mountain passes, to Bolzano, Merano, Val Venosta
Crossing Fluelapass (the highest one) to reach Davos
Day 10: from Davos to Prum (Germany), a typical German city
Through Belgium (Liege and Bruxelles) back to the Channel Tunnel
